Mary is your typical people pleaser, always putting the wants and needs of others before her own. Her worst fears become reality when she dies unexpectedly and is tasked to escort the recently deceased to the afterlife as a grim reaper, but not before delivering the worst news ever - they're about to die.

With the help of some unexpected friends, Mary learns well-overdue lessons surrounding self-worth and defying expectations, discovering that life-changing opportunities come in strange disguises.
